Inside Looking Out
Exhibit at Guilford Art Center with Gallery One CT
April 24 – May 17, 2026
Reception: Sunday, April 26 from 2–4
The theme Inside Looking Out suggests a meditation on perspective — how inner experience shapes the way we perceive the outside world.
Photographs can sometimes be a kind of self portrait, reflecting a singular awareness in a fleeting moment. Choice of what to include, or not included, in the frame can be a revelation or a deceit. Decisions about exposure, focus, and presentation are also expressive. The boundary between inside and outside begins to blur.
Art is often about the relationship between private experience and public expression. What we present to the world in turn projects who we are, and evidence of where we have been.
